If you rehearse what to say, freeze when attention turns toward you, work hard to get it right, or worry about how you are being perceived, improv-informed group therapy offers a supported place to notice the pattern and try something new. Therapeutic improv is for growth, no performance. Therapeutic improv uses structured, low-pressure activities to practice presence, flexibility, expression, connection, uncertainty, and recovering after a mistake. The activity creates something immediate to notice; group reflection helps connect that experience to life outside the room.
